The Author
F.R.C. Cavalcante
F.R.C. Cavalcante is a Franco-Brazilian author who blends the ordinary with the imaginary through works of fantasy, science fiction and philosophical reflection.
From an early age, imagination became for him a way to escape the confines of daily life but also to question the world around him. Fascinated by the mysteries of creation, the enigmas of time and the possibility of life elsewhere in the universe, he gradually built an inner world nourished as much by dreams as by reflection.
At the age of 18, in September 1998, he left Brazil for France with only a few words of French. He quickly learnt the language, pursued his studies, discovered other cultures and also spent time living in London.
His journey led him to deeply explore literature, philosophy and ancient mythologies, which would have a lasting influence on his vision of existence, knowledge and human consciousness.
Through his works, F.R.C. Cavalcante imagines worlds where the mysteries of the universe might find answers at the frontier between science, imagination and ancient wisdom. His novels invite the reader to travel beyond the visible, to explore the origins of the Whole and to question humanity's place in the immensity of the cosmos.
Now settled in France, whilst maintaining ties with his Brazilian roots, F.R.C. Cavalcante is the author of The World of Gabbardons, a narrative blending epic fantasy, science fiction and reflection — a cosmogony that explores the origins of the Whole.
