At the heart of The World of Gabbardons lies the Whole: a vast architecture in which universes, Addresses, peoples and the forces moving through them belong to one greater structure. Each world is connected to others by shared laws, yet understands, interprets and experiences them differently. Magic, science, mythology and philosophy are not opposing visions: they are so many ways of approaching a truth that no one, anywhere, can fully grasp. In this original cosmology, every people, every creature, every phenomenon is part of a fragile balance, constantly threatened, constantly transformed — and whose origins might call into question everything we thought we knew.
